I honestly haven't watched Star Trek enough to remember 1 episode but Captain Jean-Luc Picard has way more experience with journals than I do. This I know, because I have never done it before. As with being an artist, I only recently came to see it as a lucrative profession. I could with some certainty say that for 20 years when people have asked me "what do you want to be when you grow up?", whereas most people would instantly reply "Cowboy", "Policeman" or something similarly cool, I did not know what to say.
So upon finishing high school and cleaning my room (yeah it didn't happen awfully often) I found a paper I had written the first day I went there. We had been assigned to write a short essay on our dreams for the future in terms of jobs and now, after 3 years I had totally forgotten about it. As it turned out, I had written that I wanted to work at Blizzard Entertainment and design all those cool games that had kept me occupied for (let's be fair) most of my time.
Yeah at least it was a dream job, as per the request, but lately I had been driven by the idea of going for something serious that would definitely grant a respectable job. This however had caused me to apply for boring courses and now it got me thinking, what if?
SO, long story short - I have decided to become a game designer of some sort. I could live with making movies and other forms of media as long as it involves art. 3D modeling, animation, 2D art, I finally feel like I can see a horizon for myself. Be it a childish dream, I very much hold on to it and I think someone may come to appreciate my ideas as soon as I learn to express them properly.
If you read through this whole sum on my life then I salute you, I just had to get it off my mind and don't expect anyone to find it thrilling. I do enjoy writing interesting things too however so perhaps another journal page. Cheerio!
